These floors have revolutionized the wood products industry by turning trailers into automatic self-unloaders. Trailers with live floors do not require expensive tippers, and can self-unload just about anywhere, in as little as three to five minutes. Customers can receive loads at random locations, even inside buildings close to manufacturing points.

Made of aluminum or steel slats that are powered hydraulically, HALLCO Live Floors can be operated by pushing a simple lever, and can easily be "swept clean", allowing for backhauls of other materials.
